For 27 years, we have touched the lives of New York’s nearly 3 million low income residents. This holiday season, please consider making a donation to PULP. Your gift will help us assist New York families who are experiencing extreme hardship during this energy crisis and economic recession.
With grants and donations, PULP provides information and assistance to low income utility consumers who face utility service emergencies, such as shut-offs and service denials. PULP also:
- Maintains a toll-free hotline for advocates serving low-income consumers across the state;
- Provides a website HelpCenter that receives over 14,000 hits daily;
- Publishes a Utility Law Manual for advocates and pro bono attorneys, available 24/7 on the website;
- Conducts training sessions for advocates on preventing utility terminations;
- Represents low income clients before courts, administrative, and regulatory agencies, and other forums, and litigates in the public interest; and
- Participates as an active party in PSC and other administrative proceedings to advance the interests of low income energy and utility consumers.
