New York Retail Utilities
PULP’s New York Utility pages provide information about issues affecting residential consumers that may not be readily available elsewhere. The utilities have large websites with information about their rates and other services. Most utility websites offer the ability to review your account billing history of energy usage, charges and payments. Rates and rate options differ from utility to utility, as do low income and energy efficiency programs. For information about recent issues and current cases involving a particular utility, just click the button on the side.
Utilities usually have a number of issues under review in cases pending at state and federal regulatory agencies. When resources permit, PULP intervenes and participates in these cases on behalf of low income consumers. The cases may involve many hours of confidential negotiation sessions, document discovery and review, hearings, written comments, briefs, and other pleadings which focus on disputed issues. PULP’s New York Utility pages include information about some of these cases, on a selective basis, usually to highlight issues of interest at the time of posting. As a result, these pages do not reflect the views of all parties or the current status of a case or issue.
